The Temple Sports Properties Property Assistant will be responsible for supporting TSP in all capacities: game day/event operations/hospitality, sales and marketing, communication with various departments of Temple Intercollegiate Athletics, office and administrative support. Each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer) will provide varying levels of experience based on the athletic calendar of events during that particular semester. The position is critical for operational efficiency and will provide excellent, on site marketing and sales/prospecting training within the sports and entertainment industry. This position is located on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA (Liacouras Center).

As Temple University Athletics’ exclusive multimedia rights holder, Temple Sports Properties manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Owls in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television; digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches’ shows on the Temple Sports Network.
• Sales Research/Prospecting
• Assist in the creation of sponsorship proposals
• Plan and Execute “Game Day” Operations and Promotions
• Assist in developing specs and deadlines for sponsors
• Organize different hospitality events
• Help manage and track all marketing inventory for our property
• Assist TSP staff with all fulfillment needs for signage radio, print, digital, and events
• Other duties as assigned
Candidates for this position must be undergraduate or graduate students. Other critical characteristics include the ability to perform assigned duties with limited supervision; communicate effectively, especially in written form; initiate and cultivate relationships; plan, organize and prioritize work; pay attention to detail and maintain a positive attitude.
Knowledge in Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required.
Expected Work Hours/Timing & Reporting:
This position will be paid and requires attendance at all athletic events; and the flexibility to work irregular hours. We are looking for someone to begin May of 2017 through Sept 2017. The Interns will report to TSP Coordinator – Business Development, Julie Storr.
