Overview

Our company is in search of a Human Resource Specialist who will be responsible for applying human resource (HR) expertise to our growing company. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support related to payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, compliance and HR best practices. This position is part of our corporate HR team and reports to the VP of Human Resources.

It is critical to have a genuine interest in learning, understanding and empathizing with the needs of the organization’s leadership and staff. A demonstrated ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and deliver exceptional “customer-service” is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Advise other HR team members and management staff regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other essential compliance matters.
  • Track and communicate with employees regarding FMLA leave.
  • Administer vacation and sick leave time programs.
  • Assist VPHR in designing, implementing, training and managing the performance management/evaluation process, including a new online system.
  • Administer NAVEX, our online training system.
  • Provide high quality support to HR team members and management regarding benefits, payroll, performance management, and compliance issues as needed.
  • Implement and administer company policies.
  • Identify ways to improve policies, procedures and the overall operation of the HR team.
  • Provide support to HR team members and management on HR-related merger and acquisition work.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional work experience in the Human Resources field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word / Excel applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master software programs and how they interface.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field
  • A passion and love for serving people.
  • A high level of integrity and trust.
  • Confidentiality Agreement must be signed.
