  • Overview

    We are looking for a Help Desk technician whose main responsibility will be assisting with our Computer Refresh Program. This position will also assist other technicians in providing fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems.


    • Communicate via telephone, email, in person in a courteous manner
    • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via the phone or ticketing system.
    • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
    • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
    • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
    • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
    • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
    • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
    • Follow-up and update customer status and information
    • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
    • Assist with Inventory Management

    • Boxing, unboxing and shipping equipment
    • Follow procedures for computer imaging and configuration


    • Diploma in Computer Science or relevant field &/or 2 or more years Help Desk experience
    • Technical knowledge of software and PC hardware, including HP, Apple, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
    • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong customer service oriented and cool-tempered
    • Ability to lift/transport heavy objects such as computers/printers
    • Some travel may be required
