    Cal Bears Sports Properties is Learfield’s local, dedicated entity representing the University of California Berkeley. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Golden Bears' brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with the undeniably loyal and passionate collegiate sports fan base. As exclusive multimedia rights holder for Cal, Cal Bears Sports Properties manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Golden Bears in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television and digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches’ shows. 

     

    The Coordinator – Partnership Services position will support the Manager – Partnership Services & Sales Operations in helping the CBSP sales team grow revenue and support the needs of the property’s clients. This person will have a working knowledge of marketing, sports sponsorships and media, and the inner working of Cal Athletics and the UC Berkeley campus. This person will assist with the coordination of a game plan with each property seller to ensure all client contracts are properly activated. This position will attend university meetings and will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Special Events in the development and delivery of multi-faceted marketing plans for clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as liaison between certain corporate partners, property staff, and the Athletic Department
    • Assist property staff with fulfillment needs for signage, radio, print, digital, promotions, IP, entitlements and events
    • Generate sponsorship proposals and proof of performance recaps
    • Generate sponsorship contracts
    • Manage and track available inventory for property staff
    • Assist the Director of Marketing & Special Events with client entertainment efforts (special events, hospitality and experiential opportunities)
    • Identify & concept ideas for existing & potential corporate partners
    • Game Day: assist property with corporate hospitality, tickets, in-game promotions, proof-of-performance tracking, assist with Tailgate Town and other activities
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, sports administration, marketing, advertising or other related field 
    • Must be able to work 40 hours per week including home games and select special events
    • Solution minded and collaborative personality traits
    • Excellent client service & communication skills, including significant client-facing experience
    • Proposal, proof-of-performance & contract development
    • Event & hospitality management
    • Production, fulfillment, activation, trafficking & tracking
    • Exceptionally detail oriented with ability to meet concrete deadlines
    • Ability to interact with corporate clients, university representatives and members of the Learfield team in a fast-paced environment
    • It is critical for candidates to have a desire and ability to provide an exceptional level of client service Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
