As exclusive multimedia rights holder for the University of Memphis, Tiger Sports Properties manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Tigers in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television and digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches’ shows. 


    Learfield is actively seeking a Property Assistant to work from Memphis,TN, for Tiger Sports Properties (TSP). Our Property Assistants are essential to Learfield and our properties’ success. We are looking for a well-organized, responsible and outgoing individual to provide the necessary support to the TSP team. The goal is to execute partnership elements to ensure an enjoyable Game Day experience for the TSP team, partners and Tiger fans. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and have prior athletics support experience, we want to meet you! The position will provide excellent on site marketing and sales training within the sports and entertainment industry. This role has responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:


    Description Of Position


    TSP is looking to fill the position of a Part Time Property Assistant the join the Game Day Client Services Team; the individual will assist TSP’s staff with the activation and execution of partnership accounts, as well as other general game day duties. This position reports to the Coordinator of Partnership Services and will require anywhere from 4-7 hours per event. Must be available to work all home football games.


    Expected Work Hours/Timing & Reporting

    •  Position starts August of 2018.
    •  Position will be paid 
    •  Approximately 4-7 hours per week during football season (including game day Saturdays)
    •  Approximately 4-7 hours per week during basketball season
    •  Candidate needs to have flexibility to work irregular hours; however, TSP will be mindful of candidates work/class schedule as not to interfere
    •  Individual will report to the TSP General Manger and Coordinator – Partnership Services


    •  Various game day event management (pre-game, in-game, and post-game) responsibilities 
    • Mandatory to work all seven (7) home football games
    • Coordination of promotional and game day activations, including execution of client promotions and corporate hospitality functions
    • Work in tandem with the U of M marketing and promotions personnel as well as TSP sales staff each week
    • Assist the Coordinator – Partnership Services with various duties


    • Academic curriculum in sports business, operations, marketing, management, etc. is preferred
    • Prior experience with sports organization or event planning/activation is preferred
    • Candidate needs to have an interest in business development, sport sponsorship, and sport marketing.
    • Other critical characteristics include the ability to perform assigned duties with limited supervision; exhibit ability to manage various projects at the same time, communicate effectively, especially in written form; initiate and cultivate relationships; plan, organize and prioritize work; pay attention to detail and maintain a positive attitude
