    Crimson Tide Sports Marketing is Learfield’s local, dedicated entity representing the University of Alabama. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Crimson Tide’s brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with the undeniably loyal and passionate collegiate sports fan base. As exclusive multimedia rights holder for the University of Alabama, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Tide in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television and digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches’ shows. 

     

    Learfield is actively seeking a Property Assistant to work from Tuscaloosa, AL, for Crimson Tide Sports Marketing (CTSM). Our Property Assistants are essential to Learfield and our properties’ success. We are looking for a well-organized, responsible and outgoing individual to provide the necessary support to the CTSM team. The goal is to execute partnership elements to ensure an enjoyable Game Day experience for the CTSM team, partners and Alabama fans. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and have prior athletics support experience, we want to meet you! The position will provide excellent on site marketing and sales training within the sports and entertainment industry. This role has responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in marketing, promotions and game operations for The University of Alabama athletic events and NCAA-hosted tournaments
    • Assist in coordinating, tracking, and updating the CTSM corporate partner inventory management spreadsheet; as well as contract fulfillment, as directed
    • Assist with coordination and collection of advertising copy by defined deadlines. This may include radio, signage, print, and internet advertising components.
    • Assist with game day operations including:
      • a. Assist with set-up / take-down for pre-game hospitality, promotions, samplings, etc. at various Crimson Tide athletic events
      • b. Assist with on-field / on-court game promotions and/or contests which may include supervision of contestants, sponsor representatives, etc.
      • c. Assist and conduct pre-game on-field / on-court sponsor tours. Will be responsible for communicating historical information regarding The University of Alabama and the venue in which the tour is being given. Will also be responsible for effectively communicating this information to groups of up to 20 people.
    • Assist the General Manager, as directed, with all property promotion and customer service events related to CTSM

    Qualifications

    The internship program is open to any qualified candidate who is a current student at the University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa Campus. The students will be expected to dress presentably because they will be working with various professionals and sponsors. The student must be punctual and trustworthy with information regarding the day to day business of CTSM. Other qualifications include: 

    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with the following computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint
    • Ability to work on multiple projects at same time and meet deadlines
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Dependable and enthusiastic
    • Able to lift over 20 pounds and have a good driving record
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Interns are to provide services according to the NCAA, SEC, correlated professional association Code of Ethics.
