    Badger Sports Properties is Learfield’s local, dedicated entity representing the University of Wisconsin. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Badgers' brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with the undeniably loyal and passionate collegiate sports fan base. As exclusive multimedia rights holder for Wisconsin, Badger Sports Properties manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Badgers in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television and digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches’ shows. 

     

    Learfield is actively seeking a Coordinator - Property Operations to work from Madison, WI, for Badger Sports Properties (BSP). Our Coordinators are essential to Learfield and our properties’ success. We are looking for an experienced and well-organized Coordinator to provide the necessary support to the BSP team. This role will support the VP and director of sales with administrative duties – office communications, travel and calendar, special events, client hospitality, ticket distribution and invoices/expense payments. Ideal candidate will be detailed, personable, strategic, thorough, creative, strong communicator and an effective multi-tasker – able to work with multiple clients and properties simultaneously.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and Support VP and Director of Sales
      • Organize meetings and presentation materials
      • Calendar management
      • Travel coordination
      • Invoice and expense reporting
      • Foster strong relations with Athletic Department personnel
    • Manage BSP Administrative Responsibilities
      • Assume office manager duties
      • Ticket distribution for sporting events
      • Invoices and expense payments, and corporate credit card account
      • Trade accounts
      • Office supplies
      • Staff Credentials
      • Talent Travel Scheduling
      • Gameday Program Hawkers
      • Inventory/autographed items
      • Assist VP and director of sales with special projects as assigned 
    • Hospitality and Events
      • Under the guidance of director of sales, manage BSP suite inventory
      • Main point of contact between BSP and UW Athletics catering
      • Manage catering and special game day requests for our partners and staff
      • Manage ticket requests and partner inventory for non-gameday events
        • Ex: WIAA Events, Spring Game, UW Band Show, etc.
      • Assist with special events planning as needed’
    • Other Administrative responsibilities include:
      • Initial face for client check ins at the office
      • Assist with filing, copying and scanning, answering calls, expense reporting, communication support, and other special projects as required.
      • Track and follow up on urgent and pending issues; prepare correspondence; maintain historic files; and process incoming and outgoing mail.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3+ years client service/account management experience
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, sports administration, marketing, advertising or other related field 
    • Must be able to work 40 hours per week including home games and select sporting events
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • High level of initiative, specifically in the areas of sales generation and process improvement
    • Strong focus on quality of work and attention to detail
    • Able to lead and motivate others
    • Results-driven; willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the goal
    • Able to develop and maintain strong relationships across many demographics
    • Strong aptitude for learning; highly curious
    • Desire to build a long-term career in sports marketing
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
