  • Overview

    The Director of Pricing will serve on the Sales Acceleration leadership team and act as a thought leader, harnessing the power of data, applying analytics, and using technology to accelerate sponsorship revenue by developing pricing strategies, implementing revenue management operations and procedures, and instituting best practices in yield management.  This will include creating actionable insights and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.  Candidate should have sufficient experience working in a fast paced, data-driven business strategy environment.  The VP of Sales Acceleration will have oversight and leadership of the position.  

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day to day operation of and all ongoing adjustments to 31K+ inventory rate cards, use of L365 (CRM) system to enhance sales rep knowledge and confidence.
    • Advance the efforts of our third-party pricing study with established rate card baselines.
    • Responsible for monitoring yield in asset trends throughout all Learfield sports properties.
    • Maintain marketplace comparisons to other pro, college, and minor league teams.
    • Oversee the property contract minimum (PCM) establishments, adherence, and reporting.
    • Work to identify and predict upsell opportunities within current deals.
    • Work side by side with the Director of Inventory to establish pricing for new to company and new to property assets.
    • Assist the Business Developplanoment and UPG teams with revenue projections for new assets and/or category privileges.
    • Perform various quantitative analyses & drive data insights in a timely, accurate, & consistent manner.
    • Accommodate ad hoc analysis & reporting requesting for various internal and external customers.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of analysis/revenue management experience, with hospitality, sports or entertainment industry experience preferred.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, data science, information technology, statistics, or other quantitative field.
    • Demonstrated quantitative, financial, and modeling skills, including experience with SQL, CRM, and relational databases
    • Expertise in data visualization (Tableau preferred) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Strong character, strong values and strong work ethic.  
    • Candidate should be: a self-starter, independent, a creative thinker, and result-oriented.

    • Strong ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
