    The Program

    Our Summer Internship Program is a ten-week experience (June 3rd-August 9th) based at our corporate headquarters in Plano, TX.  Our Corporate office houses the majority of our Sponsorship Sales Support staff. This includes: Integrated Marketing, Digital Solutions, Research, Sales Analytics, Finance/Accounting, National Sales and Human Resources. Each member of the program will be assigned to a specific team for the duration of the summer. You will be responsible for certain tasks your Manager will assign you, and you will also be responsible for a summer-long, comprehensive project.  The results of your project will be presented to your team, fellow interns, and members of Learfield leadership at the end of the summer.  As a Summer Intern, you will also be provided opportunities for personal and professional development through an Executive Speaker Series and Professional Development Series. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about Learfield through a visit to one of our campus properties in the DFW area as well as cross-departmental interactions during the summer.


    Interns will be working with one of the following teams:

    • Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
    • Integrated Marketing
    • Research & Analytics
    • Finance
    • Training & Development
    • Digital & Social Media
    • Talent Management


    • Collaborate with manager and teammates to complete assigned daily/weekly tasks
    • Bring a creative “outside” perspective to the tasks/projects you are working on
    • Attend all Summer Intern related events throughout the ten-week period
    • Proactively communicate with various departments in the corporate office as well as other Learfield partners throughout the country
    • Leverage the internship to learn all aspects of the Sports Marketing industry


    • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
    • Completed coursework to be identified as a Junior with a Graduation date of December 2019 or later OR entering into second year of master’s program with Graduation date of December 2019 or later
    • Strong interest in the sports marketing industry
    • Intellectually curious; not afraid to ask questions and a willingness to jump in with both feet
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
    • Highly organized; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once
    • Show up each day with a positive, upbeat attitude
    • Ability to start work on Monday, June 3rd and secure housing for the full ten week
