  • Overview

    The purpose of this position is to perform certain key accounts payable tasks and be a resource to the accounts payable team members to address questions they have and help them learn the various payables-related tasks they are performing. Additionally, this position is heavily involved in the Concur expense management program and assists regularly with various ad hoc requests.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist as needed with the accounts payable check runs twice per week, which includes payments made via check and EFT.
    • Manage the talent, per diem, and sports affiliate monthly payment process.
    • Process wire payments through the accounting system.
    • Responsible for setting up new vendors in the system.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with invoices and/or vendors.
    • Address questions and issues from team members regarding their Concur expense accounts, run reports monthly for accruals, and process the Concur import into the accounting system.
    • Lead the year-end process of preparing 1099s accurately and timely.
    • American Express account maintenance and card replacement.
    • Review and post payables invoice batches into the accounting system after they have been entered by another team member.
    • Understand all processes and procedures in the accounts payable department to allow for this role to be a solid back-up for the accounts payable team members as needed
    • Administrative functions including scanning/filing, organization-related projects, and any other tasks as requested

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of professional work experience in Accounting-related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word / Excel applications.
    • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics, Kwiktag, and Concur a plus.
    • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as with others on a team.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and capable of adapting quickly to change.
    • A high level of confidentiality, integrity and trust rquired. Must be dependable.
