    The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the corporate accounting function of the Company, specifically the annual financial audit, purchase accounting, debt, hedging, payables, treasury, and fixed assets/intangibles.  Additionally, this position manages the Internal Services Group divisional activity including managing the actuals, performing monthly forecasting, and annual budgeting.  

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all activity for the ISG divisions including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring actuals are recorded correctly
    • Manage and lead the annual financial audit
    • Perform purchase accounting and ensure entries are recorded correctly
    • Research and perform technical accounting as needed. Evaluate and propose accounting for technical areas and discuss the accounting standards that apply.
    • Manage debt including recalculating and approving principal and interest payments on debt; cash flow forecasting tied to debt; interest elections; revolver draws and paydowns; preparing the quarterly compliance certificate.
    • Hedge management including recalculating and approving interest payments on hedges; quarterly accounting entries; cash flow forecasting tied to hedges.
    • Oversee and manage treasury
    • Oversee fixed assets and intangible accounting
    • Review and approve all payments made by the company; approve transactions on bank sites; review and approve wire payments
    • Manage and lead the annual VEBA audit
    • Assist as needed in qualifying entities to do business in states and annual reporting
    • Document accounting processes/procedures and identify controls
    • Back-up team members as needed
    • Be a resource to those internal and external to the organization
    • Directly manage the Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Treasury Lead, and Business Analyst

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 10+ years of experience in Accounting.  CPA required.
    • Relevant experience in media/sports marketing industry is a plus.  Public accounting experience is also a plus.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
    • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong analytical skills
    • Superior Microsoft Excel skills required. GP Dynamics and Prophix experience is a plus 
    • Experience leading accounting teams
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and capable of adapting quickly to change
    • Strong emphasis on producing high-quality work that exceeds stakeholder expectations
    • Willingness and ability to do what it takes to meet deadlines 
    • A high level of integrity, dependability, trust, and confidentiality required
